'I choose scripts that entertain women audiences', Jiiva states

Jiiva is choosy when it comes to his projects. That explains his absence in the silver screen for a while. But, this Friday (5th August) would see the release of his film Thirunaal directed by Ramnath where he would be romancing Nayanthara after a long time after SPO Jhananathan’s Ee.

Jiiva elaborates, “I usually choose scripts that entertain family audiences, especially women. This one serves the same purpose. We’ve kept it simple, it is an emotional subject, but a lighthearted one. I play a thug called Blade from Kumbakonam in the film. Though he’s a rowdy, he has a human side as well. This is for those who love mass movies. Nayanthara will be playing school teacher in the film. According to Jiiva, he had a great rapport on the sets with Nayan. “She easily fits into any character she portrays”, he says.

Thirunaal is completed within 65 days. Srikanth Deva has composed music. Jiiva also has Deekay’s Kavalai Vendam, Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, Gemini Ganesan and Kee in his kitty. Click the Movie button below for more info:
