Is Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan inspired by Pirates Of The Caribbean?

As it happens with all Aamir Khan films, his next ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ too has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced. The film, which is produced by Yash Raj films, also features Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh and has already generated enough curiosity amongst the masses as well as the media.

However, along with some good press a certain amount of bad press is expected too and recently a certain section of media claimed that ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ has been inspired by Johnny Depp’s Hollywood hit ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean.’

But Aamir Khan, at the recent media meet for his film ‘Dangal’ put all rumours to rest by denying the claims. He said, “Not true, the film (Thugs Of Hindostan) has not been inspired by any film. It is an action adventure film. Neither the film’s story nor my character is similar with any other character.”

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ is slated to release during Diwali next year.
