Reputed film personality Kamal Haasan has been awarded India’s third highest civilian honour Padma Bhushan. Earlier he has received Padma Shri.
In a press statement, Kamal Haasan stated that he feels proud to be an Indian, a country with great talents in various fields. “While legions wait to be honoured, I'm honoured that I have been chosen for the Padma Bhushan by the Government,” he said.
He added, “I think it is sheer chance and my good fortune that I have been chosen. I don’t consider this an honour for the work that I have already done. This would be an impetus for me to do more good work, perhaps only then would I deserve it.”
Kamal Haasan is an actor-director-producer and has immensely contributed to the various fields of film-making.
