Jyothika tells filmmakers, 'Please respect you heroines'

Jyothika starrer Bramma directorial Magalir Mattum had its audio launched yesterday, the 24th April, which was attended by Jyothika’s mom, sister Nagma, her parents-in-law, brother-in-law Karthi, husband Suriya, co-stars Oorvasi, Saranya, Livingston and others.

Jyothika was very vociferous yesterday and she spoke pretty strongly too. She was basically addressing the filmmakers.

She said, “Please don’t portray your heroines as dumb girls. I have a message for big film directors. Please give some dignity to women in your films. Treat them like the women in your family and life. Heroes have a large fan following and their onscreen roles make a major impact on the youth. So we are socially responsible for what is happening to women in India. Cinema has a big impact on youth. Don’t degrade them with double entendres, and vulgar introduction scenes. And don’t show it is ok for heroes to have three or four girlfriends as it will influence the youngsters”. Click the Movie button below for more info:
