Kareena turns producer

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is making her debut as a producer with the film ‘The Buckingham Murders’ which will also see the actress playing the lead. The film’s first look poster was released on Tuesday.

Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film follows police and single mother Jasmeet Bhamra, played by Kareena, who recently lost her child in a shooting spree, as she transfers to a market town north of London and is assigned the case of a missing child.

Kareena is producing the film alongside Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor. Written by Aseem Arrora, Raghav Raj Kakker and Kashyap Kapoor, the movie will be the opening film at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, which gets underway on October 27.
