Karthi, who is also the treasurer of the South Indian Artistes Association, has made an appeal to his fans and the public on behalf of the People For Cattle in India (PFCI), which has announced a ‘Water Bowl Challenge’ to quench the thirst of stray animals in summer.

The actor urged people to provide water to stray animals in their localities. “Even though we had heavy rains in Chennai, summer brings a scarcity of water. We need water to stay hydrated. The animals on the roads are in a very bad state as they don’t get water to quench their thirst. So kindly keep a bowl of water outside your house and this will make a huge difference to thirsty birds and animals,” he said.

Karthi also extended his support to the Water Bowl Challenge, which commences on March 13. The aim of the challenge is to encourage people to place water bowls outside their houses to help birds and animals quench their thirst.
