L.K. Advani, Anurag Kashyap and Sanjay Dutt admire 'PK'

L.K. Advani calls it “a wonderful and courageous film”, Anurag Kashyap says it's "a clever film", Sanjay Dutt thinks it's "an honest film" - fan base of 'PK' is increasing.

A movie buff, Advani recently watched the Rajkumar Hirani directorial. He took a liking to the film and feels that the movie should be widely watched.

“Hearty greetings to Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra for a wonderful and courageous film that they have produced in the shape of 'PK'”, Advani said in a statement.

“We are fortunate to have been born in a vast and variegated country like India. This however casts on all patriots a duty to ensure that nothing weakens the unity of the country - neither caste nor community nor language nor region, and certainly not religion”, he added.

Featuring Aamir as an alien, the film takes a hard hitting swipe on organised religion, God and Godmen.

Advani believes that "religiosity for our nation is an inexhaustible source of spiritualism, and so of ethical conduct. Those who run down religion, any religion, are doing a great disservice to the country and to its unity”.

“It is this cardinal lesson that emerges clearly out of this recently released film ‘PK’ which has excellent performances by the protagonists Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Boman Irani”, he added.

Anurag Kashyap is all praise for Hirani and says the director has been daring to take a subject like religion, God and Godmen in "PK" - with a pinch of humour.

"The amazing thing about the film is that it is so clever. Clearly, it has done so well that anybody who stands up and says, "This film offends me", it shows them that the film was right", Anurag stated.

"Raju and everybody (Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Aamir Khan) are bravest film-makers because they went on and took something on hands that we all are afraid of taking. He has done it with such good humour and and fun that it is reaching out to who it should reach out to", he added.

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is out from jail on a 14-day furlough, saw his latest release "PK" at a special screening and loved it. Happy about its success, he says none other than the trio Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Aamir could have made a film as "honest" as this.

"It is such an honest film, a film with so much of heart and truth and that's the reason it is such a big hit. I think only Raju, Vidhu and Aamir can make such films", the actor commented. Click the Movie button below for more info:
