Liam Neeson joins 'Ted 2' cast

Actor Liam Neeson has been roped in for the upcoming comedy sequel “Ted 2”.

The announcement was made by Seth MacFarlane, writer and director of the film, on Twitter Wednesday.

The 62-year-old actor will reportedly play a civil rights lawyer in the movie which follows the adventures of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) and his living brown bear Ted (MacFarlane).

"Yesterday Liam Neeson, today Morgan Freeman. Not a bad week for #Ted2. (sic)," MacFarlane wrote.

Actress Amanda Seyfried will play the female lead in the movie. Universal Pictures will releases the film June 26 next year.
