‘Marakkar – Arabikadalinte Simham' release announced

Actor Mohanlal announced the release date of his upcoming film ‘Marakkar – Arabikadalinte Simham’ on Tuesday. According to his tweet, the film will reach the cinemas on March 19, 2020.

“The wait is over! Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham to be released on the 19th March, 2020,” the actor tweeted on Tuesday.

Veteran filmmaker Fazil plays a pivotal role in this epic film, directed by Priyadarshan. The movie also features Prabhu, Suneil Shetty, Manju Warrier, Arjun Sarja, Mukesh and Keerthy Suresh in key roles.

It is based on the true life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is the most popular of the Marakkars. Marakkar IV was the Muslim naval chief of the Zamorin (Samoothiri) during the 16th century in Kerala.

This big budget movie is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor, Santhosh T. Kuruvilla and C.J. Roy. Thiru cranks the camera.
