The most charming aspect of Jomonte Suvisheshangal is the adorable bond between Jomon and his father, Vincent(Mukesh). The director's Midas touch can be found here and here alone, virtually recreating the father-son relationships of Manassinakkare and Veendum Chila Veettukaryangal. Otherwise, the preachy family drama falls flat on its face, trying to balance melodrama and satire in vain.

It is disheartening to see a veteran director like Sathyan Anthikad making such low-quality family dramas that are not only difficult to watch but also without any substance. Even if one does not compare this cold turkey and the 2015 debacle "Ennum Eppozhum" with the director's past films, there is still the issue of lack of novelty.
BOTTOM LINE: I've not even listed the large number of plot-holes and glaring defects in the film. Not recommended!

Though it has a story which has been told and retold, Sathyan Antikad puts his signature in the filming and makes it an awesome experience to the spectator. Dulquer has done his role memorably well. It seems that with each film he is maturing himself into an actor. Among the other actors Mukesh has put up a good show as the father of Dulquer. Aiswarya as Devayani, Muthumani, Indu Thampi, Irshad and Innocent have done their respective roles well. Now see it for yourself and judge.
