Finals does not settle for easy resolutions and has a moving love story. The love story is nicely woven into the sports film. It tries to get too clever in portions, raising its voice against the so-called system. But the subtle love story at the heart of this film is really moving. Suraj Venjaramoodu shows admirable restraint here, showing us what a good actor he can be when saddled with a challenging role. I see a bit of Johnpaul George (Guppy, Ambili) in P.R. Arun, the kind of director who uses the visual language more to convey complex human emotions.MOVIE STILL PHOTOS
