Mrunal Thakur to play a fierce cop in 'Gumraah'

Actress Mrunal Thakur is set to essay the role of a fierce female police officer in the upcoming thriller 'Gumraah.' The actress, who made a switch from television to cinema, underwent gruelling physical training and even trained with athletes for the role.

Mrunal spent time with female cops to understand their psychology and the worldview of a female police officer. She was last seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in the cricket drama 'Jersey,' which is currently streaming on Netflix. Aditya Roy Kapur plays the lead in ‘Gumraah’, a remake of Tamil film ‘Thadam’.
