Sammir got best birthday gift from Vikram Bhatt

Mumbai, Feb 4 (IANS) Sammir Dattani, who describes himself as a "gift person", went berserk with his birthday presents this year.

"My parents gave me a new plasma TV and a very close friend gifted me a Sony lap top. Then there was a very special call from my favourite director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I was ecstatic.

"But the best birthday gift was from my director Vikram Bhatt, with whom I share my birthday. He termed my performance in his film 'Life Mein Kabhi Kabhiie, a revelation'. I'm still reeling," Sammir told IANS.

Sammir, who has three releases coming up in the first quarter of 2007, had a 36-hour binge with all his friends on his birthday Jan 27.

"Actually, the parties started on Friday night with my usual family dinner with which I bring in my birthday every year. Then I partied with various groups of friends until Sunday afternoon. I'm still recovering."
