While 'Devdas', 'Veer Zaara' and 'K3G' fared extremely well in the US,U T V's recent Aamir Khan-starrer 'Rang De Basanti', despite is

unconventional theme and treatment, has been embraced whole-heartedly by the US audience acquiring cult status. After Week 5,'Rang De

Basanti' has grossed a staggering USD 2 million in the US (USD 2,008,301 to be more precise and still running), beating 'Kal Ho NaaHo' (USD 1,956,478),'Main Hoon Na' (USD 1,722,450) and 'Swades' (USD 1,223,240) hollow.

In the UK,in less than four weeks,'Rang De Basanti'had surpassed films such as 'Bewafaa', 'Black','Parineeta','Bunty Aur Babli','Garam Masala' and 'Barsaat',that were among the biggest hits of the UK last year. Its latest figure is an enormous GBP 760,000 and the

trade is pegging it to close at around GBP 800,000. These figures are even higher than Aamir's own 'The Rising' and 'Lagaan'!
