New Delhi, Oct 4 (IANS) Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja arrived here from Mumbai Sunday morning after spending 110 days in jail for allegedly raping his domestic help. He was granted bail Thursday.

The actor, accompanied by his wife Anupam, arrived at the New Delhi domestic airport aboard a Kingfisher flight No.303 Sunday at about 11.30 a.m. Shiney's parents were also there and they left the airport in a Honda Civic car which had an Uttar Pradesh registration.

"He left for Delhi by Kingfisher flight at around 7 a.m.. He will be coming back to Mumbai for the court hearing on Oct 7," Shiney's lawyer Shrikant Shivade told IANS.

The actor was granted bail Thursday on a surety of Rs.50,000 by the Bombay High Court in the rape case and was released from the Arthur Road Jail Saturday.

Strict conditions have been imposed on the actor by Justice A.P. Deshpande, who has ordered Shiney to live outside Mumbai, but not leave India till his trial begins in a fast-track court in Mumbai.

Shiney was arrested June 14 for allegedly raping his teenaged domestic help at his Andheri (West) home. He was in custody since then.

On two occasions, lower courts in Mumbai had rejected Shiney's bail application and he had been lodged in the Arthur Road Jail where Pakistani terror accused Mohammed Ajmal Amir alias Kasab is also lodged.

If the charges against him are proved in court, Shiney faces a seven-year jail sentence. His wife Anupam and his lawyer have maintained that he is innocent and is being framed.
