New Delhi, June 5 (IANS) Teen movies are not very popular among Indian filmmakers but director Robby Grewal ventures into uncharted territory with "Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar" (MP3), which releases Friday and promises freshness.

Starring newcomers Ruslaan and Hazel, "MP3" is Grewal's second film as director. He made his directorial debut in 2003 with "Samay", a murder-mystery starring Sushmita Sen as a cop. Though the film was not a success at the box office, critics appreciated Grewal for handling the story deftly.

His teen film "MP3" is poles apart from "Samay" though.

The film is about Rohan (Ruslaan), the only child of rich parents who is passionate about sports but isn't too interested in studies. His life takes a turn when he meets Ayesha (Hazel).

Ayesha has nothing in common with Rohan. She is a responsible, straightforward and sincere girl and Rohan gives her a rude shock when she joins his school.

The story thereafter is full of drama as the two find out that their mothers were school pals. After all the wisecracks and leg pulling at each other's expense, they fall in love.

The love story reaches its climax when Ayesha moves to France with her aunt after a tussle over Rohan's ego.

An adamant Rohan decides to follow her against the wisdom of his friends and makes a secret trip to Paris.

If made well, "MP3" could be popular among teenagers and its success may start a new trend by paving the way for many more teen stories.
