In the wake of the runaway success of "Rang De Basanti", the UTV-Rakeysh Mehra engagement has just got stronger. UTV boss Ronnie Screwvala has told Hollywood Reporter that his company has sealed a three-film deal with Mehra.

Two of the proposed films are already in development. While "Delhi 6" - the title comes from the postal number of the area where the director grew up - will be a relationship movie revolving around a wedding, "Paanch Kaurav" will be an adventure flick. The budget of the two films will be in the range of Rs.250 million to Rs.300 million.

In the meantime, the German company Rapid Eye Movies (REM) has acquired "Rang De Basanti" for distribution in Germany. The firm, incidentally, has also bought the rights to Farhan Akhtar's Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Don". REM plans to release "Don" in Germany on the very day of its opening. That will be a precedent of sorts.
