Dev helped me handle fame: Freida Pinto

Los Angeles, May 8 (IANS) Actress Freida Pinto says her beau Dev Patel came to her rescue when fame became too much to handle post their Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire".


She says Dev, her co-star in the film, was the only person who truly understood what she was going through, reports contactmusic.com.


"If I needed to talk to someone about what happened, he was the only one who knew what was going on. It was nice to have those moments and that experience together," said Freida.


The former model, whose life changed after the film, says the fame was overwhelming.


"It took a while to accept what had happened. As much as I was happy with what was going on, it was almost too much to take in for somebody who'd never experienced any of that before," said the 27-year-old.


"Surrounding myself with good people such as family and close friends helped me keep my head on my shoulders," she added. Click the Movie button below for more info:
