Doing musical much harder work: Zeta-Jones

Los Angeles, June 13 (IANS) Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones says shooting for "Rock of Ages" was challenging because a musical is more intense than a normal movie.

Based on the Broadway musical of the same name, the film is set during the 1980s glam metal era. The actress had earlier worked in "Chicago", a musical in 2002.

"I have not danced since 'Chicago'. And I have had another baby since then. So it is always a challenge because it is not a lot doing a regular movie. It is a different process," contactmusic.com quoted Zeta-Jones as saying.

"It is much harder work. It is more intense. It is angle, a shot, shot, shot. You just keep doing it until you cannot do it anymore. So it is always a challenge for everybody," she added.

The 42-year-old also loved working with Tom Cruise but is keeping the details of their scene together a secret.

"I do a scene with Tom at the end of the movie. I am not going to give it away. You have to go see the movie. And it is a lot of fun. I play a very right-wing conservative bad girl, but not bad girl in the way of sex, drugs, and rock and roll," she said.
