Martin Scorsese wins best director award for 'Hugo'

Los Angeles, Jan 16 (IANS) Martin Scorsese has won the best director - motion picture Golden Globe award for his film "Hugo".


The 69-year-old pipped Woody Allen for "Midnight In Paris", George Clooney for "The Ides Of March", Michel Hazanavicius for "The Artist" and Alexander Payne for "The Descendants" to win the golden trophy.


Set in 1930s Paris, "Hugo" is the story of an orphan who lives at a train station. He is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton. Click the Movie button below for more info:
