Bangalore, June 14 (IANS) Director Meher Ramesh's "Aajay", starring Punit Rajkumar and Anuradha Mehta, continues to occupy the number one slot among Kannada films. The top five films are:

1. "Aajay" - The film may be showing a downslide but it had a fantastic opening and collected over Rs.10 million in Bangalore alone. It is still doing well in northern Karnataka. What lures audiences to the theatre is Prakash Raj's dialogue delivery in Kannada with the correct accent.

2. "Datta" - Lanky star Darshan has always been lucky with the openings of his films. In the film he is paired with another lucky star, Ramya. The film is expected to gross around Rs.6.5 million in its first week in Bangalore.

3. "Sevanthi Sevanthi" - The film has completed 50 days and the collections are showing an improving trend week after week. It has been doing very good business in northern Karnataka where it may well reach the 100-day mark. It is performing well in B centres as well.

4. "My Autograph" - Trade pundits predict that the Sudeep starrer may complete a silver jubilee run. The collections in major cities and B centres have been quite impressive.

5. "Chellaata" - The film was categorised as a small venture before the release but the collections have proved otherwise. The full-length comedy has found favour with the young crowd.
