'Maayavi' song tops Malayalam music charts

Kochi, March 21 (IANS) The Malayalam film music charts remain unchanged with a "Maayavi" song topping the list. The top five tracks are:

1. "Muttathe mulle" - Film: "Maayavi"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: K.J. Yesudas and Manjari. Mammootty lip-syncs Yesudas' mellifluous voice with everyone dancing around him. This song has struck a popular chord.

2. "Oru kinnara ganam" - Film: "The Speed Track"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry. Singers: Udit Narayan and Sujatha. This is a typical Dileep song sung by his favourite singer Udit Narayan.

3. "Sneham Thenalla" - Film: "Maayavi"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: M.G. Sreekumar and G. Venugopal. Mammootty dances on this number and the audiences find it amusing.

4. "Paattum padi" - Film: "The Speed Track"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry; Singer: K.J. Yesudas. The songs of "The Speed Track" were out a long time back and with the film's release they are in the top league now.

5. "Kannu chimmi chimmi" - Film: "Inspector Garud"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singer: Vineeth Sreenivasan. The song still hangs on to this list.
