Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 23 (IANS) A 250-episode mega Malayalam serial shot entirely in South Africa will soon be aired on one of the leading television channels in Kerala.

Top producer S. Karthikeyan has just returned from a wildlife park in South Africa after a 45-day shooting stint there.

Karthikeyan told IANS: "Our team of actors and back up crew was in the Pietermaritzburg wildlife park in South Africa for 45 days, filming the content for our serial titled 'Kadilinu Akkare'."

Leading film actress Sukanya along with Anand play central roles. Suresh Unnithan has directed it.

"We have spent Rs.7 million for shooting in South Africa. The serial has wild animals and it is going to offer something different. And children are really going to enjoy it," said Karthikeyan.

This serial comes after his blockbuster "Kadamatathu Kathanar", a serial that recently got over in a leading Kerala TV channel.

Karthikeyan belongs to the production house of his late father P. Subramaniam, which runs a string of theatres and has produced close to 80 films.
