'Samrajyam 2 - Son of Alexander' in the making

Cochin, July 12 (NR): Renowned Tamil director, Perarasu will direct “Samrajyam 2 - Son of Alexander”, a sequel of, “Samrajyam”.

Saamrajyam, the 1990 Malayalam gangster film directed by Jomon, centers on the story of Alexander (Mammootty), a drug dealer and underworld don. It is known as one of the technically sound Indian films made during the nineties. The film was a box-office blockbuster and broke several records.

The sequel is produced by produced by Ajmal Hassan and Baiju Adithya under the banner of Godson Films and Athena Films. Ilayaraja creates the background score of “Samrajyam 2 son of Alexander”. The producer is optimistic about the movie's prospects in the box-office.
