Actor MRK passes away

Actor MRK (M.R. Krishnamurthy) passed away on Aug.3. He was 73. He had been ailing for some months.

MRK was introduced in Sivaji Ganesan’s ‘Kaval Deivam’.

He had acted in more than 100 films. Notable among them were ‘Deivaputhalvan’, ‘Veettula Raman Veliyila Krishnan’, Rajini-starrer ‘Athisayapiravi’ and ‘Dharmathinthalaivan’.

MRK’s last film was ‘Seval’ in which he acted as Simran’s father. He had also acted in several TV serials.

His son, Sathish, survives him.
