Ajit to star in AVM's 'Tirupathi'
Aug 13, 2005 P.V.Sathish Kumar, Aug 13Actor Ajit has signed for AVM's Tamil film "Tirupathi" to mark its diamond jubilee year.
AVM was established 60 years ago and during this period it has produced 166 films. "Tirupathi" is the 167th film from the house of AVM. This is Ajit's first film being made by M. Saravanan and M.S. Guhan of AVM Productions.
Perarasu, who shot to fame with the film “Tiruppachi” and “Sivakasi”, will direct “Tirupathi”. Perarasu will also do Story, screenplay and lyrics. “Sivakasi” is under production now.
The rest of the cast for "Tirupathi" is yet to be finalized. The shooting will commence in December and the film will be released on April 14 next year.
Bharadwaj is to compose the music, while S. Saravanan will handle the camera. Thota Tharani will be the art director. The technical team also includes Antony (editing) and 'Super' Subbarayan (stunts). No details of the story are yet available, but it is said the film will have many special features, which will make it stand out.
The film "Tirupathi" has already created a sensation in the film industry. Ajit's forthcoming film "Godfather" too has good reports and with both these films Ajit is hoping to make a comeback to the top slot.
