BBC series on Tamil film songs

BBC Tamil service, 'Tamilosai' will broadcast a series on Tamil film music from Aug 22.

The 15-part series will trace Tamil film music industry's 60 years of history and evolution.

The series will include old and new music tracks, besides interviews with musicians, old singers, music buffs, film historians and noted musicians from Tamil Nadu today.

The programmes can be heard on shortwave 31, 41 and 49 metres. It will be aired 9.15 p.m.
