Coming out of her fathers shadows, Bhavadharini, daughter of music maestro Ilayaraja, is turning as a music director with the film "Amirdham". Vedham Pudhidhu Kannan (producer of the hit movie Vedham Pudhidhu) produces the movie.

According to Bhavadharini, the movie has six songs and each number is an eclectic mix of classical and western music.

Among the fresh crop of young music composers, very few can claim the advantage that Bhavadharini has to launch a career as music director. Hailing from the illustrious musical family: daughter of Ilayaraja and sister of Karthik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja, Bhavadharini said she draws inspiration from her father and her two brothers for her musical compositions.

Bhavadharini has trained in Carnatic music under well-known music pedagogue Dhakishina Moorthy, and later she has learnt Hindustani and Classical music. She is a talented singer too.

Few years ago she created waves through her album "Sudhandhiram" (Freedom) a music video that was an unqualified success. Her most notable works in feature films include Mitr (scored the back ground music) and Phir Milenge (one song and back ground composition). Actress cum director Revathy had produced both the movies.

Being a daughter of music maestro expectations are very high among the people. Will she keep up to the expectations is just a mute question.
