Chennai, June 20 (IANS) It has been over 50 days, and still "Chandramukhi" rules the Tamil box office.

Eagerly awaited is Shankar's "Anniyan", which is expected to topple superstar Rajnikanth's film.

The top five Tamil films of the week:

1. "Chandramukhi"; Director: P. Vasu. What can one say about a film that has completed over 50 days of run, except hats off to superstar Rajnikanth.

2. "Ullam ketkume"; Director: Jeeva. Nobody expected this small film, which has been in the can for more than a year, to attract people. This film was supposed to be the debut film of Asin and Pooja but now Asin is a huge star both in Tamil and Telugu. This film is a boost to Sham's sagging career.

3. "Arindum Ariyamalum"; Director: Vishnuvardhan. This small film is also going steady.

4. "Kanaa Kandein"; Director: K.V. Anand. National award-winning cinematographer K.V. Anand's first directorial venture had a great opening but it seems it may not sustain the tempo.

5. "Sachein": Director: John Mahendran. Along with "Chandramukhi", Sachein has also completed 50 days.
