Bangalore, July 2 (IANS) Dhanush and Ramya will play the lead pair in the Tamil remake of super-hit Kannada movie "Jogi", which set new box-office records last year.

Fresh from the success of "Puduppettai", boyish Dhanush will enact the role of a village simpleton drawn unwittingly into a city mafia.

For Ramya, who continues to have a good innings in Kannada cinema with recent hits like "Sevanthi Sevatnhi" and "Datta", this will be her biggest Tamil film so far.

Earlier, she had acted in films like "Kuttu" with Silambarasan and "Giri" with Arjun.

The reverse will be the case with Charmee. The Telugu star, who started with Tamil films, is all set to act in a new Kannada film with 'crazy star' Ravichandran.

Another Telugu star, Kamalini Mukherjee who has won plaudits for her role in recently released "Godavari", will also feature in this film.
