Dhanush to wed Rajnis daughter

Chennai, Oct 29 (IANS): Dhanush, the youngest hero of Tamil cinema, will next month marry Aishwarya, the daughter of Tamil superstar Rajnikanth.

Lean and lanky Dhanush, who is in his early 20s and rose to stardom playing the adolescent lover in films like "Kaadhal Kondein" and "Sullan", has said his marriage will take place Nov 18.

He said his parents had finalised the marriage proposal, which had been a closely guarded secret so far.

Earlier, when he was asked about reports of his proposed marriage with "a superstar's daughter", he had said: "It's news to me."

He had added: "Mine will definitely be a love marriage only. My parents also know about it and they have no objection. But who, where and when I can't say."

Now he has told everyone.

Dhanush's father is Kasturi Raja, a film producer. The actor's brother is Selvaraghavan, who has directed Dhanush's films as well.

Rajni is yet to speak to the media about what will be one of the most-talked-about marital alliances in the Tamil film industry.

Dhanush said he and Aishwarya wanted the marriage to be "a simple affair" and keep it that way, though the fans and the media will be invited.
