Director Amir turning hero
Jun 7, 2007 PVSDirector Amir is making his debut as a full-fledged hero in 'Yogi' to be directed by Subramania Siva. The film will be produced by Amir's Team Work Production House.
Amir who is rated among talented directors has directed the hits 'Mounam Paesiyade', 'Ram', and 'Paruthiveeran'.
Subramania Siva's earlier directorial venture was 'Pori'. He says he is introducing Amir as the hero in his next film 'Yogi'. The shooting of this film will begin in one or two months. Dialogue scenes will be filmed in Nepal and Tibet with special permission from the governments concerned. The duration of the shooting in these places will be 25 days.
According to Siva, Amir is doing rigorous workouts and dieting to make he fit for the role of hero. Amir may also act as the hero in a film to be directed by Bharathiraja, who will formally announce the launch of the new film after the release of his 'Bommalattam' in July. Ilayaraja and Vairamuthu may join Bharathiraja in the new project.
