Ilayaraja sets musical record

Chennai, March 18 (IANS) Eminent music director Ilayaraja has set a record with a difference. As many as 36 songs composed by the maestro were recorded on the same day here.

What made the record possible was the fact that all the songs were recorded for the same film called "Ajanta", being made in all four south Indian languages -Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

The film is directed by Kathaga Thirumavalavan and produced by Rajya Ravishankar.
