Chennai, Aug 29 (IANS) The film may not have a pure-Tamil title. But it will certainly have a Tamil-promoting theme.

Titled "Thamizh M.A." ("M.A. in Tamil"), the film will show the misery that a master's degree in Tamil brings to a young man who makes an unpromising academic choice.

Jeeva, whose real name is Amar Choudhary, is the son of well-known producer R.B. Choudhary and will play the lead role in the film to be directed by Ramasubbu.

The director says he is going to tour the state and look for college students who can play some other role in the film, which will portray the "humiliation" the protagonist suffers for choosing Tamil as his subject.

Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music and N. Muthukumar will pen down lyrics.

Shooting is scheduled to start on Sep 9 and the makers plan to complete the film in 100 days.
