Mammooty, Arjun, Jai Akash team up

"Aruvadai" (Harvest), which is to be made on a big budget with three heroes, is a detective story centered on the problems and hardships of agriculturists. Mammooty, Arjun and Jai Akash are the three heroes cast in the film. Featured along them are Sneha, Mamta, Hindi actor Atul Kulkarni (who played the villain in "Run"), Manivannan and Devan.

Mammooty plays the role of a Central Intelligence sleuth, Arjun appears as a Special Branch Police officer, and Jai Akash plays Assistant Police Commissioner.

Sneha is featured as Mammooty's wife who works as a pilot. Mamta is Arjun's love-interest.

A film institute student T. Aravind directs the movie. The dialogues are written by Vijay Ranganath. While Rajesh Yadav is the cinematographer, Vidyasagar is the music director. Henry (Pankaj Productions) is the producer. The notable films he has produced were "Kolangal", "Bharatikannamma", " Marumalarchi" "Pudumaipithan" and "Kallazhagar".

Chennai, Ilayangudi, Keezhakkarai, Marthadam, Kochi and Hyderabad are among the places selected for shooting. Climax scenes are planned to be filmed at Kanyakumari.
