'Mangala' releasing in Tamil as 'Sivaangi'

Telugu supernatural movie ‘Mangala’, directed by Osho Tulasiram, released in March last year, is being dubbed in Tamil. It is titled ‘Sivaangi’. The Telugu version fared well at the box office.


Charmi plays the lead. Others in the cast are Pradeep Rawath, Vijay Sai, Subhash, Pavala Shyamala, Uttej, Sarika Ramachandra Rao, Chitram Seenu and Saptagiri. Vishnu is the music director.


Nageshwar Reddy produced ‘Mangala’ The Tamil version ‘Sivaangi’ will be released in Tamil Nadu by Moonlight Cinema. A.R.K. Raja Rajan has written the dialogues in Tamil.


The story is a mixture of spirituality, science and belief. The song ‘Ice Cream…’ in Telugu was a big hit with the masses. It featured Charmi in her glamorous best.


Osho Tulasiram says he has conceived the project after meeting a few aghoris when he was returning from Srisailam.


The outline of the story is Charmi, a frontline actress, has a crazy fan. He comes to Mangala’s place to meet her. But he is misunderstood, gets beaten up and thrown out. He dies in hospital. His father, who is a powerful black magician, casts a deadly spell on Mangala for being responsible for his son’s death. How the spell works on Mangala is the rest of the story.
