Of Madhan Karky and his 100th song

Young lyricist Madhan Karky has scored a century with his 100th song written for the film ‘Settai’ with Arya in the lead. Directed by Kannan, it is produced by UTV.

Madhan entered the Tamil film industry in 2009. He wrote his first song ‘Irumbile…’ for Rajini’s ‘Endhiran’ directed by Shankar. But a song written by him later for director Kannan’s ‘Kandean Kadhalai’ was the first to release. His 100th song for Director Kannan’s ‘Settai’ is by chance, Madhan says

The lyricist posted on his microblogging site, ‘Wrote my 100th song …A breezy romantic number for Settai. Thanks to director Kannan and Thaman (music director) for the song. The journey from Irumbile to this song would not have been possible without your wishes, feedback and support.”

Madhan has also written the lyrics for director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kadal’ and penned the dialogues for ‘Yaan” which has Jiiva in the lead. Click the Movie button below for more info:
