May 14, 2012 PGV

The audio of much-hyped Billa 2 starring Ajith was released on the actor's birthday as scheduled. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is pleased that the audio has evoked good response. There are six songs of which Yuvan himself has sung two. 'Madurai Ponnu' sung by Andrea Jeremiah is for the masses. A foot-tapping number 'Gangster' is rendered by Yuvan and Stefny. The last number is the theme by Yuvan.

Ajith said this is the first time a prequel to a popular film has been made in the Tamil film industry. How young David Billa transforms himself as a don is incredible. There are a number of scenes which viewers would enjoy as he did.

Yuvan Shankar Raja said he had scored the music for Billa and it was a big success. He wishes Billa 2 to be a bigger success.

One of the producers Sunir Kheterpal, CEO at IN Entertainment, said that while they were exploring the possibility of launching a mega project in Tamil, they decided upon a prequel to one of the most popular franchises, Billa 2. Within seven days of meeting Ajith, the project started rolling. He said Billa 2 would cross many milestones in terms of production value, technological highpoints, trailer record on YouTube and the pre-sale records.

Director Chaktri Toleti said Bill 2 is his second film. He wanted it to be different in every respect. This is a story about a man who opposes himself. A typical Don film, it has all the ingredients to become a big hit.

Besides Ajith, the film features Parvathy Omanakuttan in the lead. R.D. Rajasekhar has handled the camera. Suresh Urs is the editor and V. Selvakumar is the art director. Na. Muthukumar has written the lyrics.
