It’s a long time since national award winning actress Priyamani was seen on big screen. Ameer’s ‘Paruthiveeran’ featuring her and Karthi won her the coveted award. She has not hogged the headlines after ‘Paruthiveeran’ and this has triggered speculation that she has lost out to her peers. All these rumours have now come to naught with reports that she is all set to comeback with a challenging dual role in a film titled ‘Charulatha’. She will play conjoining or Siamese twins. Malayalam actor Skanda is making his debut in this film. Others in the cast are Seetha, Saranya Ponvannan and Arthi.

‘Charulatha’ is being made in three languages _ Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. According to co-producer Dwarakish, the shooting of the Tamil version has just begun after the Kannada version has been completed. Allu Aravind’s Geeta Arts produces the Telugu version.

Pon Kumaran, who worked as an assistant to directors K. Bhagyaraj and K.S. Ravikumar directs the film which is the remake of the Thai horror movie ‘Alone’.

Priyamani, who celebrated her birthday on June 4, is reportedly excited about her returning to Kollywood where she started her career.
