Rajini becomes grandfather

Superstar Rajinikanth's daughter Aiswarya, married to actor Dhanush, gave birth to a baby boy at 5.10 p.m. yesterday (Oct. 10) at Apollo Hospital, Chennai.

Rajini rushed to the hospital with his wife Latha to greet the new mother and see his grandson.

Dhanush, who was away at Ooty shooting for a film, rushed back to Chennai accompanied by his parents, and visited the hospital to see the newborn.

Earlier on arrival from Ooty, Dhanush told reporters at the airport that "I am so happy, extremely thrilled becoming a father".

Rajini, who is busy shooting for his next movie "Sivaji", has curtailed all travel outside Chennai for some time, according to industry sources.
