Rajini's stunt in French film

Superstar Rajinikanth is increasingly becoming popular worldwide. He has already a big fan following in Japan and some other countries. He has just made his first appearance in France too, which is artistically advanced in film-making.



One of Rajinikanth's stunt scenes from "Muthu", a 1995 hit, was incorporated in the form of a TV sequence in a French comedy.



French actor-director Alain Chabat has made this film, titled "Prete-moi ta main" ("I do"). A record 30 lakh viewers and more in France watched Rajni's stunt scene in the film in the very first week of its release.


The French director wanted to show a kung-fu sequence, but decided on Rajini's stunt in "Muthu", attracted as he was by the "fire in the actor's eyes'', Etienee Dubaille of Chez Wam, the production company of Chabat, was quoted as telling a newspaper.


Actress Charlotte Gainsbourg , who played the heroine Emma in "Prete-moi ta main", is shown in the film as watching "Muthu" and when asked what she was watching, she replied "Muthu", a cult Indian movie" and added, "I love that scene… Rajinikanth's face", according to newspaper reports.


In an interview on the internet, Chabat reportedly told a Tamilian living in France that "Muthu" was a very good movie…Super in one word.


There are plans to release the French top-grosser in India during the course of this year.
