Sameera Reddy replaces Genelia in 'Vaaranam Aayiram

Sameera Reddy to pair with Surya in "Vaaranam Aayiram" being directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Surya has completed his role in "Vael" and will participating in the shooting for "Vaaranam Aayiram" from next week.

Sameera Reddy, a Bollywood actress, has acted in a few Telugu movies. Gautham Menon has decided to have Sameera Reddy in the place of Genelia who was originally selected for the lead role opposite Surya. Sameera has signed the contract and given the dates.

"Vaaranam Aayiram" has, besides Sameera Reddy, one more heroine and it is Divya. Gautham Menon, who has recently launched the shooting of "Chennayil Oru Mazhaikaalam" featuring Trisha, has now put it on hold giving priority to "Vaaranam Aayiram" which has already been delayed because Surya got busy with the making of "Vael".

According to indications, the shooting of "Vaaranam Aayiram" will begin next week In November Gautham Menon and his crew along with the artistes are scheduled to leave for the US where they plan to shoot the film for two months. According to reports, Surya has confirmed that he would participate in the shooting from next week.
