Sarath's Thalaimagan is about water crisis

Actor Sarath Kumar's 100th film "Thalaimagan" , directed by himself and produced by Radhika's Radaan Media Works, slated for release on Deepavali Day ( Oct.21) is about the looming water crisis which has become the people's major concern all over.


Action-packed and fast phased, the film has been crafted with a journalist's work forming the basis of the theme. The message of the film is, the water problem is assuming serious proportions and future wars will be fought over it.


Sarath Kumar and Radhika convened a media conference at Chola Sheraton in Chennai last week to formally announce the release of the film on Oct.21.


"Thalaimangan" will certainly be a top attraction of this festive season, Sarath Kumar told the reporters.


He plays the role of a journalist in the film. He said when he was a boy he took up the job of distributing newspapers to houses in Bangalore before becoming a journalist. He knew both the advantage and disadvantage of the profession. So, he chose the theme and looked at it in a different way.


Cheran has written the screenplay. Director K.S. Ravi Kumar and Kushboo play guest roles. The cast includes Nayanthara, Seema Biswas, Mukesh Tiwari, Vadivelu, Vijayakumar and new actor John Vijay.


Radhika said the film is an action adventure and has shaped up very well and it has " "all the ingredients" to make it entertaining - action- packed and fast phased."


RADAAN'S FUTURE PROJECTS: Asked about Radaan Media Works' future projects, Radhika said it would produce three or four films. The first of them will be written and directed by Priya V of "Kanda Naal Mudhal" fame and it will multi-starrer with two young heroes. The directors of the other films will be K.V. Ravi Kumar, A. Venkatesh, Dinesh and Goutham Menon, she said.
