Shreya to pair with Rajini in 'Shivaji'

The up and coming actress Shreya has been chosen to pair with Superstar Rajinikanth in much-hyped AVM's "Shivaji" after keeping people guessing for many weeks.

Initially Karisma Kappoor's name had been mentioned and then that of Trisha. The final choice of Shreya has come, as a surprise for her name had never crossed anyone's mind, as she is cinematically a new face.

Commenting on her selection, Shreya herself said she was very luckily and it is a great privilege to act with the superstar. The film is to be directed by Shankar.

Shreya started her film career with a small role in "Enakku 20 Unakku 18". She plays the heroine in the recently released "Jayam" Ravi starrer "Mazhai".

In an interview, Shreya said, "I am a staunch fan of Rajini. After seeing his movies, Arunachalam, Padayappa and Chandramukhi, I wished to act with him at least in one scene in any film. I never expected that God would fulfill my wish so soon. I am really thrilled."

She said she is yet to know the storyline and what role she will be given. "Whatever the story may be, whatever the role may be... I am very fortunate...I will work with total dedication and involvement and occupy a permanent place in the hearts of the Rajini fans and people." she added, beaming.
