Silambarasan, Jyothika team up again in 'Saravana'

Silambarasan and Jyothika are teaming up for a new mega Tamil film "Saravana" under the banner of Deivanai Movie Makers. K.S. Ravikumar is directing the film. Screenplay and dialogue are also by him.


"Saravana" is the second film in which Silambarasan and Jyothika are starring as hero and heroine, the first being "Manmadhan", which was a big commercial success.


Presented by Amuda Durairaj, "Saravana" follows "Kuthu" in which Silambarasan played the lead role. According to sources, "Saravana" is a remake of Telugu blockbuster "Bhadra". Silambarasan is said to be very impressed by its storyline.


Prakashraj, Nagesh, Megna Naidu, 'Fivestar' Krishnan, Tintootom of Mumbai also act in the new film. Ravi Kaalai from Bollywood plays the villain in this movie. This is the first time he is acting in a Tamil film. His role in Amitab Bachchan starrer "Sarkar" has made him popular worldwide.


Srikanth Deva provides the music for the lyrics by Vaali, N. Muthukumar, and P.Vijai. The technical team includes: Arthur Wilson (camera), K. Thanikachalam (editing), Maniraj (art), Brinda, Kalyan and Robert (Dance) and Kanal Kannan (Dance).


Durairaj and K.C.N. Chandrasekhar are the joint producers. Shooting has already commenced. A dance scene involving as many as 60 dance artistes along with Silambarasan was recently picturised.
