South Australia premier to act in Tamil film

Chennai, March 19 (IANS) South Australia's Prime Minister Mike Rann will act in a Tamil movie.

Rann, an amateur actor, has also played a small role in the film "Love Story 2050" with Priyanka Chopra. This film had a glitzy launch in Mumbai Tuesday night.

"I have danced in the film. My wife Sasha Carruozzo, who is a professional actor, has acted with Priyanka," he said.

Rann is likely to act in AVM Production, a Chennai-based film-making company founded by A.V. Meiyappan.

Rann, who was in Chennai last weekend, visited the AVM studios and met the officials here.

The Australians have invited AVM studios to make a Tamil action film in Australia. The name of the film has not been decided yet.
