Sundar C's next film titled 'Porukki'

After Vijay's "Pokkiri", it will be Sundar C's "Porukki". "Thalainagaram" heralded Sundar C as an action hero after he turned an actor from director. Then followed his next action flick "Veerappu". (Now running in theatres) which has also received good response. His forte was comedy and had directed some good comedy-centered films. As an actor his physique suits the action hero image, and getting acceptance, as an action hero is difficult, he says. He would think of comedy after being recognized as an action hero first.

Shakthi Chidambaram is directing "Porukki "under the banner of Cinema Paradise. The story and screenplay are also by Shakthi. "Ennamma Kannu","Charlie Chaplin", "Maga Nadigan", and "Englishkaaran" were among his earlier productions.

Playing opposite Sundar C in "Porukki" is Ragini, who is being introduced in "Thee". Napoleon plays a key role. Nadiya pairs with him. Others in the cast include Vivek, Khadal Dandapani and Lal Alex.

The story is about a young man who erupts like a volcano against social evils and embarks on "operation weed-out" to root out evil forces that corrode the social fabric of the country. Suresh Devan is the cinematographer, while Dina scores the music Dialogue is by Ravimaria. The film will be shot in Pollachi, Karaikudi, Munnar, London and Switzerland.
