Suraaj names Karthi-Anushka-starrer 'Alex Pandian'

There have been reports of director Suraaj making a film with Karthi and Anushka. The film has now been titled 'Alex Pandian'.

Alex Pandian was the name of the character that superstar Rajinikanth played in the superhit 'Moonru Mugam'.

Suraaj says he has titled his film 'Alex Pandian' because Rajini's character as Alex Padian is even today a sensation and it draws widespread reaction of excited interest from his fans.

Studio Green Gnanavel Raja is producing the film. Saravanan is the cinematographer and Sri Devi Prasad scores the music.

Karthi's love interest is Anushka. The film has Santhanam, Akanskhka Puri, Sanusha, Milind Soman, Suman and Manobala

Humour is the essence of the film with a high comedy quotient.Santhanam has two sisters and Karthi makes them his object of fun and frolic. It is a laugh-riot throughout the film, says Suraaj.

Some scenes were shot at Chalakudi in Kerala on a set specially erected. Another massive set has been erected at Chennai Binny Mills where the next schedule of shooting will start once the film employees return to work after their wage dispute with the producers is settled.
