Tabu craves for comic roles

Chennai, May 3 (IANS) Bollywood actress Tabu, who achieved eminence through her roles in experimental and offbeat films like "Astitva" and "The Namesake", says she would prefer to act in comedies now.


"I have made audiences cry as much as possible. Now I would like to make them laugh," she said.


She added that she prefers watching comedies too.

Priyadarshan denies remaking 'Chandramukhi'


Priyadarshan, a director active in Bollywood as well as South Indian cinema, has denied that he is remaking Tamil blockbuster "Chandramukhi" in Hindi.


Priyadarshan said the Hindi film he is currently directing is "Bhool Bhulaiya" starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan and it is not a remake of the Rajnikant starrer.


He said that "Bhool Bhulaiya", is in fact, a remake of Malayalam film "Manichitrathazhu" and the remake rights had been bought for Rs.10.5 million.

Trisha's challenging role


Actress Trisha's role in Telugu blockbuster "Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule" must have been her most challenging one.


In the film, she plays a young woman who lives in a huge family which has 40-members. While in real life, she belongs to a three-member family, being the only child of her parents.


Trisha, however, claims that the role is one "close to my heart".
