The Real Kuselan

Rajnikanth's Kuselan is almost ready for release. The audio release that was conducted recently, hogged considerable media attention. Now that the film is all set to hit screens, there come reports in the vernacular press, pointing out parallels between Rajni's character in the film and his real life-story.

Some of the journals have been going down memory lane and recollecting how Rajnikanth, who had been a bus-conductor earlier, had struggled and risen to super-stardom, and how he had been helped a lot by his friends along the way.

This of course is very much similar to the story of the character played by the star in Kuselan, which is an adaptation of the Malayalam flick Katha Parayumbol. Rajnikanth plays the role of a popular star in the film which relates how his poor friend (played by Pasupathy) had once helped him become an actor. So, for the most popular star of Tamildom, Kuselan provides an opportunity to play himself to a great extent. Great news indeed for die hard fans of Rajnikanth!
